I purchased an iPhone 3G just over a year ago. It is a neat product, and fun to use.
After six months the iPhone died. It was replaced as per the warranty, but only after two weeks of deliberation by Telia, the vendor.
After another seven months, the iPhone requested an update for its firmware. After this update (3.1.2) the phone is dead again. The warranty has expired. Telia, the vendor, shrugs, and suggests I purchase a new iPhone. Apple Support in Sweden has a call-in service with a menu "… select 4 for iPhone issues": if one selects 4 the voice says to contact the vendor and hangs up on me.
I will be going to Android now.
